About this event

Hobbies • Other

A fabulous workshop for those with some existing sewing experience. You will learn how to sew a zip into a plain seam and practice using and changing thread on an overlocker. You will also be able to use an overlocker to neaten all the raw edges in this sample.

Both applying zips and using an overlocker can be a daunting task for many sewers, but under the careful guidance of Alison you will gain the confidence to move forward with your future sewing projects.

Please note - you must be able to use a sewing machine (this is not suitable for beginners). Get in touch if you need any further information regarding this.

If you have any access, mobility or other health issues which you think could impact your experience of the workshop, do to let us know in advance and we will aim to make reasonable adjustments where possible, to ensure you have a positive experience.

We request resonable notice of at least 2 working days to be able to action any adjustments.

Any information disclosed to Swarthmore will be relayed to the workshop facilitator.
