Thu 4 May 2017, 15:00 – 16:30 BST
Savoir Beds and The Savoy hotel are continuing their historic collaboration combining craft and heritage with an exclusive afternoon tea in a luxury suite to explore how expert craft creates an exceptional night’s sleep. Alistair Hughes, Savoir Beds Managing Director, along with a leading sleep specialist discuss the connection between craft and comfort. Meanwhile, a Savoir craftsman demonstrates upholstery techniques used to create the original Savoy Bed, now called the No.2 Bed.
Savoir Beds was created by The Savoy hotel and supplies all the beds for the River View Suites, The Savoy Suite and The Royal Suite. The latter features the unparalleled No. 1 bed.
Every Savoir bed is handcrafted, taking anywhere between 40 to 120 hours. Working together, The Savoy and Savoir Beds use their expertise to create a superlative hotel bed. Savoir considers every detail, including the use of the finest natural materials to maintain the perfect body temperature, and to ensure that the guests of The Savoy have a restful night’s sleep.
