Following from her most impressive workshop delivered at the CIPD Northern Area Partnership event in June 2018, Emma has kindly accepted to run an extended session for the Bradford CIPD branch. Out-of-the-box thinker Emma Cook has developed a Sleep Well Seminar which is far from any other health and wellbeing workshop. It is educational and motivational from start to finish, covering facts and offering tips around Sleep and Fatigue management. Emma will share ‘HOW TOs’ on everything from waking up in the morning to going to bed at night that will change the way you sleep for ever.

Objectives:

The session will cover the following:

- Why we need sleep
- Roles and benefits of sleep
- How to improve the quality of your sleep
- How to get the best from your day to improve your night sleep
- Science backed strategies on improving sleep
- Science based techniques on waking up
- How to wake up smarter
- How to defeat the mid-day ‘lull’

By the end of the session delegates will understand:

- How to sleep smarter
- How to wake up smarter
- How to defeat the “midday lull” and how to recognise day-time patterns that disrupt their evening sleep.

Brief speaker profile:

Emma Cook is the Founder of Purely Balanced. A motivational and keynote speaker, she is a sleep ambassador and the creator of 21 Days to Tranquillity.

She has over a decade of research behind her on why we sleep, the roles and functions of sleep, how to improve sleep and how to be proactive during the day to ensure a good night sleep.

Emma spent three months in a Buddhist retreat observing and learning from Buddhist monks. She is a teacher of The Healing Power of The Mind. She is has worked with a broad range of clients from the CEOs of oil companies and their employees, to children suffering from anxiety.

Her mindset is based around change your thinking and it will change your life. Her aim is to give people the knowledge and the How To’s on helping themselves and others around them. Her work “puts the human back in humanity”.

Her approach has been commented upon by many as educational, inspirational, motivational and uplifting, imparting scientifically proven strategies which anyone attending her workshop will be able to implement effectively the same evening.
