How to Spot a Liar - The Behavioural Science of Detecting Lies and Deceit

This interesting session will focus on Lie Spotting, the psychology of detecting lies and deceit. It will be led by Mike Drayton, a clinical psychologist and organisational development consultant. He uses his psychology skils to help leaders, teams and organisations to build resilience, improve performance and reduce workplace stress.
This event aims to significantly improve your ability to spot lying and deception. It uses the latest research from the behavioural and psychological sciences to explain how you can improve your ability to spot lies, using the fascinating real life video examples of famous liars.
With regard to business, lying and deception can cost millions of pounds each year. Leaders and managers areoften placed in situations where spotting lies and deceit could be important.
The event is interactive, engaging and effective! It will cover the following -

- Science versus myth
- The psychology of truth and lies
- Emotions - the essentials
- Verbal clues to deception
- How to make it difficult for a person to lie in an interview - the cognitive load approach
- The face and emotions
There will also be a second speaker, Henry Noteman from Jonathon Lee Recruitment who will focus on 'Recruitment and Selection and Psychometric Testing'.
There will be an opportunity for questions and answers withboth speakers.
