Event Information
About this Event
This event is one of a series of webinars on COVID safety and mental wellbeing in the workplace supported by the Mayor of London's Office.
These events are part of the London Healthy Workplace Award (LHWA), an accreditation scheme run by the Mayor of London's Office and supported by Public Health England (PHE). The LHWA serves as a template for good practice and recognises London employers who invest in their employee’s health and wellbeing. As part of the scheme, the LHWA team bring new insights and provide access to the best resources to support employee health and wellbeing in the workplace.
The webinar will introduce a range of fantastic online resources designed to support employee wellbeing. These relate to financial wellbeing, how to manage fears and anxiety, and how to "talk the men in your life who are struggling" from the Movember Foundation: https://conversations.movember.com/.
Our guest speakers include:
- Matt Loynes - Innovation Projects Lead at Ford Motor Company; Movember Community Ambassador and Mental Health First Aider. Matt will talk about the interactive tools on the Movember website including Movember conversations and True North, an app designed to guide men, doctors and partners in making key decisions about prostate cancer, as a team.
- Laura Peters – Head of Advice and Information Services at Mental Health UK, who will talk about the interactive tools on the Mental Health UK website which provide guidance on personal financial management and support people with debt problems: https://mentalhealth-uk.org/support-and-services/money-and-mental-health/
- Shamin Ahmed and Tracy Parr from The Healthy London Partnership who will discuss the free apps, toolkits and workbooks available on the Good Thinking website that can be promoted to employers.
To get the most from this webinar, please have a look at the resources above, especially the apps on the Good Thinking website: https://www.good-thinking.uk/apps/ as you'll have a chance to talk to the creators. They would also love your feedback!
The session will be chaired by:
Dr Matthew Critchlow, Managing Director of Thrive and Visiting Lecturer at the University of Westminster.
Participants can ask questions of the panel and participate in networking with other members of the audience in part 2 of the evening.
