Thu 9 February 2017, 09:30 – 16:30 GMT
This year the conference will concentrate on topics around reducing self-harm and suicide for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender+ (LGBT+) community in Lincolnshire and supporting people to live well.
We are hosting our third annual multi-agency LGBT conference in order to bring partners together to look at ways to:
- Better understand factors impacting on serious self-harm and suicide amongst LGBT people in Lincolnshire
- Develop skills in working with LGBT people, supporting work to reduce serious self-harm and suicide amongst LGBT people within our communities
- Explore ways to better support our LGBT communities in Lincolnshire
- Develop strong and effective LGBT multi-agency networks to support working together going forward
We have secured three prestigious key note speakers who are national figures including Ruth Hunt, Chief Executive of Stonewall, Paul Martin OBE, Chief Executive of the LGBT Foundation and Dr. Elizabeth McDermott who has carried out the Queer Futures research on behalf of the Department for Health. Dr. Elizabeth McDermott’s groundbreaking research focusses specifically on reducing self-harm and suicide amongst young LGBT people.
Workshops will be run in both the morning and afternoon sessions so please make your choice to attend on the booking form.
