About our speaker:
After two years as the Europe correspondent for Television New Zealand, at the peak of her journalism career, Emma Keeling decided it was time for a new vocation.
A New Zealander living in London, she’d had over 20 years of experience working in the media, both in front of and behind the camera. But after reporting live from the field during a time of turmoil in Europe, covering multiple terror attacks and Britain’s vote for Brexit, she realised she needed to let her creative side take the reins.
Throughout her career Emma has had the opportunity to wear many hats: presenter, reporter, writer, director and producer. She understands the creative process and what it takes to deliver a captivating story that leaves a lasting impact.
In recent years she has used that knowledge to present and produce films and documentaries for international networks, including developing branded films and commercial content for BBC StoryWorks.
Her newest passion is film and she has written, directed and produced short films which have been accepted into international festivals. This year she went to Cannes Film Festival to pitch the script of her first feature film for production company Avesta Films which she runs with her creative partner.
Now Emma wants to share her knowledge of storytelling and presenting to help people elevate their communication skills and really connect.
