Description

3 Hour Workshop

How to unlock corporate support

Charities and community groups are constantly asked to diversify their sources of income. With greater competition and scarcer resources alternative methods to improve sustainability and increase impact need to be explored. Corporate support for the not-for-profit, often described as “Corporate Social Responsibility”, or “CSR” has been a possibility for many years. However, effectively tapping into this huge potential for support has proved difficult and resource intensive.

Corporates of every size are themselves under pressure both internally and externally to be seen to be “good”. This creates an ever-increasing opportunity that if correctly approached, could greatly benefit your organisation.

As with any source of income and support, understanding the needs and requirements of the donor need to be researched. Strategies to communicate, locate, engage and capture resources need planning, resources and patience.

This workshop will explore

  • Knowing what you want and what may be available

  • Opportunities

  • Approaches

  • Benefit creation and explanation

  • Creating partnerships

  • Leveraging opportunities

  • Creating long term relationships

The workshop takes a practical approach to embracing CSR, using discussions and case studies.

It is ideal for anyone looking to understand trends in corporate support and wishing to tap into the huge pool of support and resources that the corporate sector offers.

Registration will be open from 9:30 and the training will begin at 10:00 sharp.
