In this lecture Michael will be explaining how to identify the signs and symptoms that indicate a need for digestive enzymes, how to adjust and dose enzymes according to different presenting complaints, the differences between enzymes as well as the nutritional and naturopathic protocols that support digestion. 

About the speaker: Dr. Michael T. Murray, N.D.

Naturopathic Doctor, Author, The Magic of Food” and “The Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine” Michael T. Murray, N.D., is regarded as a pioneer of, and one of the world’s leading authorities on, natural medicine. He is a former faculty member and serves on the Board of Regents of Bastyr University in Seattle, the nation’s first accredited naturopathic college, where he received his doctorate in naturopathic medicine in 1985. Murray has written more than 30 books about natural approaches to health and is co-author of the “Textbook of Natural Medicine,” and the best-selling “The Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine,” that has been translated into 14 different languages and has sold more than 2 million copies. His other books include, “What The Drug Companies Won't Tell You And Your Doctor Doesn't Know,” and his recently released “The Magic of Food.” In 2016, Murray received the Nutrition Business Journal Award for Education as an acknowledgement to his lifelong career of educating practitioners and the general public on natural medicine through books and publications, public speaking events, workshops and conferences, as well as through major national media coverage, such as PBS, MSNBC, NBC’s “Dateline,” ABC’s “20/20” and “Primetime,” CBS News “Sunday Morning” and a recent special report on “The Dr. Oz Show” about the science behind natural medicine.

Association of Naturopathic Practitioners

The ANP is a professional Association representing Naturopathic Therapists. As Naturopathy is based on principles and not on a specific therapy one can find a Naturopathic Therapist practicing as Homeopath, Herbalist, Acupuncturist, Nutritionist or Colon Hydrotherapist.

The primary function of the ANP is to assist its members in maintaining the highest standard of competence. It offers a wide range of benefits to its members.

The ANP is internationally connected and in touch with the politics of health and the safeguarding of natural therapies. All ANP members have had to have undertaken an accredited course and abide to the ANP code of ethics to be accepted into the Association.

The aims of the ANP are:

  • To support its member professionally
  • To make sure ANP members follow the ANP code of ethics
  • To make sure a high training standard is maintained
  • To promote Naturopathy to the wider public
  • To liase with other associations, groups and individual to safeguard natural therapies for generations to come.
