Description

How to Use Your Time to Your Advantage

Are you constantly putting out small fires in your business and dealing with what is right in front of you? Does it feel like you don’t get the opportunity to work on your business because you are working day today in your business?

This workshop is designed to help you gain control of your use of time. We will look at three key areas:

  • Self-Mastery

  • Planning Mastery

  • Delegation Mastery

By the end of the workshop you will be equipped to:

  • Prioritise tasks and be more productive

  • Put in place a default diary

  • Have a plan that is realistic and achievable

  • Delegate the right tasks

  • Know how to deal with interruptions to your day

  • Spend more time working on your business to drive growth.

Who is this for?

If you run your own or manage a business and feel that:

  • Time is indeed your enemy and not your friend

  • That your days start with good intentions and 100 other things get it the way of what you had planned

  • Your evenings and weekends are turning into opportunities to catch up rather than relax

Then this could help you get back in control and get back to being productive and retrieve a work-life balance and enjoy work again.

This workshop is ideally suited for businesses who have been established for 12 months or more. If you have been established for less than 12 months, we recommend that you look at both NWES and MENTA for courses which may be more suitable for your needs.

Pre-event Activities:

Philip likes to ensure those attending his events get the most out of their precious time and therefore will give you a call beforehand to discuss what you wish to achieve from the event and so he can ensure he covers your requirements. For this, we will need to supply Philip with your phone number which we will ask you for permission for through the booking process. You don't have to agree to this, but attendees have found this very useful before.

FAQs

What do I need to bring?

Pens and pads will be provided, but if you prefer a certain pen, lined paper or a certain type of book or notepad to take your notes please bring these with you.

This will be a group activity event with tasks and you are welcome to bring a laptop or tablet, but please be advised that you will need to bring these ready charged. Also, some keyboard can be distracting to other people, so please be aware you may be asked to stop using them if they distract other attendees.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

You can park in the car park for Felaw Maltings, which is on Mathers Way, just across from the Maltings. Please ensure you give your car registration to the ladies at reception as you come in and sign in, as this will prevent you from being charged for parking there. Please pack in YELLOW DOT SPACES ONLY, any other spaces may result in your getting a charge.

Spaces cannot be guaranteed but it is very unlikely these spaces will be filled. If these are filled, there is limited parking on the streets nearby but please check the signs and information locally to see what restrictions are in place as the Growth Hub will not be able to refund any charges incurred. If you do park outside the main building, please only park in spaces on the same side as the Steamboat public house, and do not park in front of a dropped curb, as you will be ticketed if you do. The spaces in front of the actual building are 1-hour spots only.

There are local pay and display car parks around the location a short walk away if you prefer.

Once in the building (you will see the main entrance under the big blue Suffolk Chambers sign, please sign in your car and for fire safety at the main front desk to your left. Then you will see a door straight in front of you. Go through this door and up the first flight of stairs (there is a lift next to the door if you require). At the top of the stairs, you will see another door straight through this and the one beyond and this is the Chamber's Board Room. It should all be signed.

I want to book for more than one person from my company?

Due to the popularity of these events, we are only able to allow one person per company to attend. However, please email naghmarketing@newanglia.co.uk, if you wish a colleague to attend as well and if we have cancellations we will notify you immediately on a first-come, first-served basis to offer another ticket.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

Please email naghmarketing@newanglia.co.uk if you have any questions or queries.

What will be done with the information I supply?

Your information will be stored on Eventbrite according to Eventbrite’s terms and conditions. Upon arrival you will be required to sign in on our attendance sheet, this is to provide evidence of your attendance and will be kept on server as evidence for our ERDF funding. After your attendance will be stored on the secure Growth Hub CRM system. This is required in order to provide evidence of your attendance and eligibility for the course. This will be kept to the statutory dates any only accessible to Growth Programme and authorised personnel. If you request further contact from an adviser post this event they will use this information to contact you and log any future interactions, again to evidence for ERDF funding.

Your information will not be given to any third parties without your permission.

Any paperwork completed by you for the course (activities, group work etc.) is yours to keep unless you wish the trainer or the Growth Hub to hold these for you, for which we will ask you to sign.

Will lunch be provided?
