Event description

Description

We are hosting a lecture and workshop for prospective NIHR Research for Patient Benefit (RfPB) applicants to learn more about the funding programme and to develop their research ideas.

There will be talks by representatives of the RfPB Programme - including Prof Richard Watt, Chair of the London RfPB Panel - and RDS London, offering advice on how to apply to the programme, with opportunities to ask questions. This will be followed by two interactive workshops focused on: Developing a fundable research question; and Implementing patient and public involvement (PPI).

*Note that you can now book the lecture alone, or the lecture+workshop*.

This workshop is aimed at London-based researchers developing a research idea, or preparing a grant application, with the intention to submit to RfPB. Attendees should bring a research idea, which they intend to submit to RfPB, to develop in the workshops.

RfPB funds NHS research covering a wide range of health service challenges. The aim of the programme is to fund topics and research methodologies that increase the effectiveness of NHS services, provide value for money and benefit patients. RfPB is the NIHR funding programme usually best suited to first-time grant applicants. More information about RfPB.

The event is free, but places are limited and registration is required.
