How to write a business plan
Event Information
About this event
Do you work on land, youth, food or environmental issues?
Do you have an idea or vision for a business or project but need help in getting it off the ground? Is not having an up to date business plan for your business or project holding you back?
Join our training and movement building event at Stroud Brewery to get started on developing your business plan.
Meet people working on similar issues locally. Hear from experts and those with practical experience. All while having a drink and nibbles!
We willl be joined by Jade Bashford, who has worked with businesses, organisations and community groups on food and farming issues for many years. She will share some of her practical experiences, including the founding of Stroud Brewery, to get our discussion started.
John Meadley will help us think about how to get started with writing a business plan. John has worked with rural businesses around the world - ranging from farming and ceramics through to sanitation and malaria prevention. He is involved with ‘Farming on Crutches’ in Sierra Leone and more locally founded AccessBike here in Stroud and co-founded the now nationwide ‘Pasture for Life’ movement that encourages the raising of ruminant animals wholly on pasture.
We will also hear from Richard Peers, Business Navigator at Stroud Growth hub. His work includes advising local entrepreneurs and start-ups, as well as more established businesses, to help them move forward on their business journey. Richard has owned his own business, as well as working for many different businesses over the years. He will share some of the support available locally and how to access it.
There will also be a chance to think through the next steps for your project or business.
