How to write bestselling crime fiction – a workshop
Event Information
Description
This workshop, led by three bestselling authors from East London, will examine the key ingredients in writing crime fiction including plot development, writing effective characters, using location, and creating the ‘wow’ factor.
Subgenres such as cosy crime, psychological crime, police procedurals, and historical crime will be briefly looked at.
The workshop will be facilitated by Vaseem Khan (Times bestselling author of the Baby Ganesh Detective Agency series), Barbara Nadel (author of 28 novels, including the Cetin Ikmen series), and Abir Mukherjee (author of A Rising Man, Sunday Times Crime Book of the Month).
The authors will describe the process they use to write their novels, and offer 'insider' tips on how to get published.
