All sessions delivered by careers support are for UAL pre-degree, undergraduate and postgraduate students, UAL alumni and UAL graduates only.
This session is particularly beneficial for:
- Postgraduate students who will be graduating soon and applying / pitching for work
- Students wanting to apply for christmas roles
- DPS students who are looking to secure work during their diploma year.
What will I learn?
- How to write an effective CV, focusing on how to highlight your relevant experience and knowledge efficiently for hiring managers
- To identify your transferable skills and articulate them in your CV
- How to tailor your CV to the needs of a hiring manager to increase your chances of being more easily be shortlisted for roles
- Identify what information is key to present on your CV and in application forms, we'll discuss why some characteristics are protected and best practice to look out for during recruitment processes.
- Gain insight on writing techniques you can adopt when responding to application forms for paid creative opportunities
- Tips on tailoring efficiently when applying for multiple roles, where you can get support for your CV or application within UAL and ask any questions!
