Howden Walled Garden Bat Walk

Bats are brilliant! Did you know a single pipistrelle bat can eat thousands of midges a night? That their calls can be louder than the legal limit for a nightclub? or that our ancestors thought they could carry messages to and from the 'otherworld...'

We'll go for a stroll through the woods around Howden Walled Garden using bat detectors to allow us to look, and listen, for the bats that share these spaces with us, while we learn some facts and folklore along the way.

As always this event is aimed at adults but families with accompanied children are welcome.
