· 9.45 AM – 10:30 AM | Keynote Presentation: self-compassion and kindness: Tim Keogh CEO & Co-founder, A Kind Life The importance of self-compassion and culture

· 10:30 AM – 11.15 AM | Partner presentation: ‘Navigating the Workforce Waves’: Karena Starkie-Gomez, Director, Leadership and Workforce, KPMG presentation exploring the findings from KPMG’s 2024 study focusing on what is on the horizon for the people profession in healthcare, and why they need to respond.

· 11.15 AM – 11:45 AM | Refreshment Break, Exhibition viewing & Networking

· 11.45 AM – 12:15 PM | #Inclusive HR: Cheryl Samuels, People Director at Evelina Women’s and Children’s Clinical Group - Presentation highlighting some of the real actions that people are taking as a result of signing up to this HPMA supported change movement and the impacts/benefits as well as the resources available.

· 12:15 PM – 1:15 PM | Lunch & Networking Break

· 1:15PM – 2:15 PM I Culture change and conflict management: a critical reappraisal of the effectiveness of employee relations in the NHS: Dr Adrian Wright & Mark Wilding, University of Central Lancashire, presentation covering the key findings of research published in March 2025

· 2:15 PM – 2:45 PM | Refreshment Break, Exhibition viewing & Networking

· 2:45 PM – 3:30 PM | ‘When we do Harm’ – 100 conversations: Andrew Cooper, Programme Director Avoidable Employee Harm joined by NHS Wales colleagues

· 3:30 PM – 4.15 PM | NHS Developing the NHS Wales People Profession Helen Watkins, Executive Director of Workforce and OD, Health Education and Improvement Wales, Neil Lewis, Director of People and OD, Public Health Wales and Chair of the HPMA Wales Committee

· 4:15 PM | Closing Reflections: Julie Rogers CEO, HPMA

The day will include amazing speaker and panel sessions, the chance to network and meet other People Professionals as well as our carefully selected partners.
