If any of these questions apply to you the CIPD South London Group are running their HR Ambitions event on 4th February 2017 which is designed with you in mind. Participants who have attended this programme previously have gained a sense of career direction together with the desire to take action.

We will be offering a limited number of CV Clinics, Interview Practice Sessions, Presentation Skills Sessions, and Negotiation Skills Sessions during the afternoon, where you will get 121 advice on how to improve your CV, your interview, presentation and negotiation skills and technique.

For the Presentation Skills Sessions, please have prepared a short presentation of no more than 3 minutes: this can be your response to the question you’ll most likely be asked at all interviews: “Tell me about yourself” or it can be part of a presentation you’ve recently delivered or are preparing to deliver.
To help the Negotiation Skills Sessions, please research the salary range for your aspired role along with considering other benefits you would like to negotiate on e.g. flexible working hours, development opportunities, annual leave …
Throughout the day there will be stands with people providing information on various CIPD initiatives to include Membership upgrades information, Mentoring, Volunteering on the Committee, CIPD London Events, along with latest research literature. This is the perfect opportunity for you to meet and network with your fellow CIPD members.
We will end the afternoon with a performance by the actors with a ‘Dragons Den’ theme where an ‘Interviewee’ (Actor) will pitch themself to a panel, all of whom are leaders in their fields and who will do anything to get the best people to join their organisation (also Actors). The ‘Interviewee’ will need your support, drawing from your experience and learning from the day to ensure they put the best of themselves forward.
This will be followed by a short motivational talk about action planning for success before we end the day with a drinks reception.

Cancellations and Refunds Policy
If you are unable to attend an event please give at least 1 working day notice and we will be happy to refund 100% of your booking fee or book you on to a subsequent event to the same value. Cancellations received after this time will be non transferable and non refundable.
Professional photography and video production may be taking place at the event, and these images may be used on future promotional materials for CIPD. Please note that by attending the event, you are giving your consent for your image to be used on any CIPD promotional materials.
