Employment Rights Bill – Headline Reforms

Join Chris Dobbs for a review of the Employment Rights Bill, one of the most significant upgrades to employment rights in decades. Chris will cover Day One Unfair Dismissal rights, zero hours contract reforms, tougher harassment protections and restrictions on fire and rehire amongst other changes. Chris will summarise the key changes and timeframes, analyse the likely impact and identify steps you can take to prepare. This session will enable businesses to act now to prepare for phased implementation of these fundamental changes. There will be time for questions throughout the session.

Chris Dobbs qualified in 2017 having spent two years training at a high street practice. He joined Frettens in 2019 and in July 2023 he was promoted to Associate. He acts for both employers and employees whether in dispute and tribunal work or providing HR advice to businesses. Chris has acted for clients working in social care, education and the military as well as private businesses on a wide variety of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. As a speaker and trainer, he has been complimented on his ability to engage and communicate clearly on complex HR and legal issues.
