This event is for Senior HR practitioners with an interest in taking employee engagement forward in their organisation. The session will be led by Cathy Brown, Executive Director from Engage for Success. She will introduce the principles of the Engage for Success movement and why employee engagement is so important; that it is a response to some profound changes in the attitudes of our work forces and in the demands placed on them. She will outline the evidence correlating higher levels of employee engagement with greater organisational success, and look at the issue of transactional employee engagement versus the more profound benefits of a transformational approach, as well as covering the four enablers of higher levels of employee engagement. The session will provide attendees with a renewed commitment to the topic and with some practical ideas on how to enhance engagement in their own organisations.
Currently the director for Engage for Success, Cathy Brown has wide ranging experience across the public, private and third sectors in raising awareness and providing practical guidance to organisations looking to improve employee engagement. With a background in delivering strategic transformation programmes for a FTSE 100 company, she recognises the importance of values, good management, authentic leadership and the ability to listen in creating environments where people can bring the best of themselves to work every day.
As a long time public speaker & spokesperson for Engage for Success, Cathy engages and energises audiences around business change, leadership and innovation. She passionately believes that helping people find a better way to work can make a big difference to people's lives, their organisations and ultimately to the country.
Please note - this is a meeting of the CIPD Leicestershire HR Leaders Group so is for local CIPD members in a HR Director or Head of HR role.
