Tina Russell, Professional Conduct Manager, CIPD
Tina joined the CIPD from the Institute of Payroll Professionals where she successfully launched a CPD scheme and recruited over 15% of the membership to participate. Some of the other projects Tina was involved with included the development of a core membership database and an online CPD tool.
Tina’s first 4 years at the CIPD were spent in the membership department managing membership upgrading and CPD. This included developing, launching and implementing the Academic Membership route – which now has over 450 members. For the last 4 years Tina has implemented the CIPD Code of Professional Conduct. Her role includes managing the Investigation & Conduct Procedures that support the Code and over 60 volunteers.
The number of complaints about members received by professional associations is increasing. Each year when we renew our membership we agree to adhere to the CIPD Code of Conduct, But what does this actually mean? At this event delegates will understand the role of the Code of Conduct and gain an insight into the types of complaints being raised. Tina Russell, Professional Conduct Manager for the CIPD, will lead us through the key points of the Code of conduct and as a group we will review some case studies on the issues that have arisen.
