Salisbury event

6.00 pm refreshments and networking in the Marlborough Room, with the event starting promptly at 6.30 pm and finishing around 8.30 pm

Are you risk adverse or a risk taker?  What sort of risk takers are those you work with?  Is the workforce over-cautious and not prepared to take risk?  Can this be a risk in itself to a business?  Do you know what are negative and positive risks?  What is HR risk capture?  Can recording and treating risk both be risks to a business?

These are just a few of the questions that will be explored in this interactive session. It will include a presentation, facilitated discussion and review of a workplace scenario to highlight effective and ineffective strategies for risk management.  On their own and in groups, those attending will review risk in relation to HR, considering the perception of risk and the dangers of not addressing this culture in the workforce.  As we approach the most challenging time for Britain in negotiating Brexit, is your company/organisation treating HR as 'Risky Business'?

As a result of attending this session, you will:

  • Be better equipt to identify HR Risk
  • Be aware of what are considered to be the top HR risks
  • Know what positive and negative risk are and how to recognise both
  • Be more aware of how a culture of risk perception, appetite and attitude can be an asset or a danger to an organisation
  • Have reviewed a workplace scenario to discuss the options for dealing with HR risk
