If your role includes HR, you’re a manager or you’re simply looking for a general overview of employment law issues then our new HR Training course is designed to add value to your current role.
Employment relations issues are by their nature are reactive. Having a better understanding of employment law in practice will equip you to deal with workplace queries and mitigate the risks of disputes efficiently and effectively.
Between October and December 2016, our employment solicitor Pip Galland will be running a series of five HR training courses covering what you need to know about the lifecycle of the employment relationship. The course content will cover:
- Recruitment and employment contracts - Thursday 20 October
- Dealing with sickness - Tuesday 1 November
- Managing performance - Thursday 17 November
- Disciplinary and grievance - Tuesday 29 November
- Dismissing an employee - Tuesday 13 December
You’ll see that we have designed an interactive course, covering not only the legal position but practical employment scenarios in which you can apply your learning. At the end of each session you will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss your thoughts on the different employment law issues that you’re likely to come across in practice. In order to get the most out of these training sessions we would recommend that you, attend each session. Each workshop acts as a step above the last, enabling you to consistently build your employment knowledge as the employment lifecycle progresses. That said it’s not compulsory and the workshops can be purchased in isolation. Detailed workbooks and breakfast will be provided.
