HR Training: Dismissing an employee
Tue 13 December 2016, 08:30 – 10:30 GMT
What happens when the working relationship comes to an end? In the last of our series of training sessions, you will learn how to spot potential employment claims, understand their value and the commercial realities of taking decisions to dismiss.
Facing a potential employment claim and the associated legal costs is always a fear. We want to help you mitigate the risk of having to pay out a lot of money to an ex employee. In doing so we’ll cover the practicalities of negotiated exits, so that you understand which employment processes can be kept confidential from an employment tribunal. No prior learning or qualifications are required. Whilst the session has been structured, it very much includes an open forum for you to ask questions.
In this session we will cover:
- Categories and claims of dismissal
- ACAS Code of Practice, application, requirements, consequences of breach of contractual procedures.
- Protected conversations and without prejudice conversations
- Settlement agreements
Date: Tuesday 13 December
Time: 8.30am – 10:30am (includes break at 9:30am for teas and coffees).
Venue: Royds Withy King’s Midland Bridge House office in Bath
Cost: £70 plus VAT per session. There is a 10% discount for individual training sessions booked before 30 September.
This event is part of a series of HR training sessions, see other training events here.
