King's Business School are delighted to be partnering with King's HRM Society for a very special celebratory event for HR students and alumni.

Hosted on the 8th floor of Bush House, the evening will start with an opening speech from King's HRM & Organisational Analysis Programme Director, Prof. Riccardo Peccei. We will then be welcoming special guest speaker, Siobhan Sherdian, Civilian HR Director at the Ministry of Defence, who will be sharing her thoughts on 'HR's seat at the table, the Game, the Price'.

The talk will be followed by a Q&A and networking reception where you'll have the opportunity to meet with fellow alumni, students, academics and representatives from the CIPD. This event will be a perfect opportunity for HR professionals to connect and welcome this year's cohort of MSc HRM & Organisational Analysis students to the King's alumni community.

About the Speaker

Siobhán Sheridan joined the Ministry of Defence in July 2017 as Director, Civilian Human Resources. She is responsible for the workforce of 57,000 civil servants doing vital work in the Ministry of Defence, alongside their military colleagues.

Siobhán joined the MOD from the NSPCC, where she was People Director and had the great opportunity to work with all of the staff and volunteers that help the NSPCC and Childline to play their vital role in protecting children and young people, preventing abuse and enabling societal change.

What time does the event start and finish?

Registration will open from 17:30 with the talk taking place at 18:00. The networking reception will finish at 20:00.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Please bring either your printed ticket or have your booking confirmation available electronically to sign into the event.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

No, please make sure all registration information is for the person attending the event. If you would like to give your ticket to someone else then please get in touch with us or log in to your Eventbrite account and edit your registration information.
