Overview

This presentation will cover the challenges associated with delivering this key HS2 interface for December 2027.

Challenges of the MJC Lines HS2 ONW project, presented by Giles Bayram - Senior Sponsor, Network Rail.

The Marylebone - Claydon Junction (MCJ) line, running from Claydon in Buckinghamshire through to London Marylebone, borders HS2 at its northern extent. The two lines run alongside one another for approx. 8km between Claydon and Quainton, on joint earthworks and structures currently under construction by HS2 Ltd. This work entailed the closure of the MCJ north of Quainton in 2021, with all rail assets removed.

The project aims to reinstate the Network Rail infrastructure along this line, restoring freight access to and from the FCC Greatmoor terminal. This presentation will cover the challenges associated with delivering this key HS2 interface for December 2027 including the complexities of integrating with multiple stakeholders.
