The day is split into two halves. The morning will be focused around HSCN and then, after a light lunch, we will be joined by CCS and the focus will change to Sharing Government Assets.
Innopsis HSCN Workshop
NHS Digital (previously HSCIC) with Innopsis are nearing completion of the Health and Social Care Network Obligations Framework. The Obligations Framework sets out what the supply and to an extent what the recipient organisation must do to supply or consume network and application services. HSCN is a disaggregated supply model which means all organisations will need to have a clear understanding of the operational model to be successful in this market.
The half day workshop will explain to members and guests how HSCN will operate. What suppliers need to be thinking about and the market opportunity for suppliers.
The session will cover:-
- HSCN Compliance and Obligations on suppliers
- The disaggregated model how it works
- Interconnectivity and use of a proposed Peering Exchange
- Connectivity options and service obligations
- The Service Model
- Purpose of the Deed of Undertaking
- First Procurement Activities
- Transition Challenges
- Timescales for proposed procurements
- How to get involved
- What to expect in the next six months of activity
It is expected to be a packed agenda and the content will be driven from a supplier perspective. NHS Digital will attend the workshop to answer questions covering most of the topics above, however procurement issues will not be commented on at this stage by NHS Digital.
Crown Commercial Service and Sharing Government Assets
After lunch we will be joined by Ieuan Trigger, Category Director for Networks and Telecommunication Services at Crown Commercial Services and Jiscom. Ieuan will be talking about some of CCS's plans for the next year, to listen to your concerns and to discuss, together with Jiscom, how the Public Sector can share assets and how Industry can help.
