The Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi HSK test (or Chinese Proficiency Test) is China’s only standardised test of standard Chinese language proficiency or Mandarin language proficiency for non-native speakers. It approximates to the English equivalent which is the TOEFL.
The HSK test is administered by Hanban. Goldsmiths Confucius Institute is currently registered as one of the official HSK Testing Centres in the UK as well as the ONLY testing centre in London to offer e-testing (HSK, HSKK, YCT, BCT).
How to book:
Step 1: Register online at at the Chinese Test website and send confirmation email to confucius-chinesetests (@gold.ac.uk)
Step 2: You will recieve an email to the relevant eventbrite page for payment
Step 3: Select your test date and payment (and any postage fee) and complete transaction
Step 4: Registration complete (keep a copy of your eventbrite confirmation as receipt of payment)
In addition to the exam fees, there is an administration fee of £10.
If you wish your certificate to be posted to you, then there is a postage fee of £3 (UK) or £10 (International)
The exam fees are as follows:
Level 1 - £10
Level 2 - £20
Level 3 - £30
Level 4 - £40
Level 5 - £50
Level 6 - £60
All the fees are non-refundable.
Any changes (level and exam date) before the official (HSK) deadline can be processed. However we can only change level and/or exam date ONCE without extra charge.
No changes can be processed after the registration deadline.
