The highest market town in England, Buxton in Derbyshire is deservedly renowned for its Spa Water and Georgian & Victorian architecture. Visit the Cavendish Arcade which used to be a set of public baths. Today, homeware, clothing and gifts can all be found here. In addition you will find a wealth of independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Alternatively visit the Buxton Museum and Art Gallery - a modern and well-curated way into the geology, archaeology, art and history of the Peak District. There is something of interest for everyone! Return home during the afternoon via the stunning Peak District.
