Description

Free national conference open to all university students in the UK interested in healthcare and technology innovation. The HTCF is a group dedicated to enhancing multidisciplinary student involvement in the medtech and innovation world. Previous HTCF events have attracted students from medicine, engineering, physics, chemistry, biological sciences, product design and business.

Key note speakers and exhibitors from surgery, medicine, engineering, physical sciences and industry representatives will be present to give you the knowledge and insight needed to make your healthcare innovation a success.

Abstracts are welcome and selected entries will be offered a poster presentation to showcase your work to professionals from all facets of medtech innovation. Abstracts are invited for research relating to healthcare technology innovation. 250 words maximum; Format: Title, Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion. All accepted will be invited for poster presentation.

Please submit abstracts with 'HTCF abstract submission' in the subject line to htcfcommittee@gmail.com deadline: 10th November 17:00.

Professor Peter Culmer Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Lead on the Surgical Technologies Research Group, Uni of Leeds.

Professor David Jayne Professor of Surgery and Honorary Consultant Colorectal Surgeon. Clinical Director of the NIHR HTC Colorectal Therapies.

Professor Steven Evans Professor of Molecular and Nanoscale Physics and Director of Research and Innovation at the School of Physics and Astronomy, Uni of Leeds.

Dr Neville Young Head of Commercial Development, Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Science Network.

Professor Mike Raxworthy Operations Director of the Regener8 Centre for Translational Regenerative Medicine, Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering, Uni of Leeds.
