A short heritage walk exploring some of the key buildings linked to Irish migrants arrival in Huddersfield. Meeting at the Harold Wilson Statue, in St. George’s Square. John Lambe will guide participants on the path many of the Irish arriving in Huddersfield will have taken, setting the scene and finishing at the Irish Centre, on Fitzwilliam Street, in good time for the start of a play at 7pm - ' An Irish Welcome' being performed by CHOL Theatre and community cast, as part of the Huddersfield High Street Heritage Action Zone Cultural Programme and this year's theme of 'Arrivals'.
