Our annual conference is nearly here and promises to be unmissable for investors with a keen eye for opportunity.
The purpose of this year's event, held in partnership with Business Kirklees, is to identify and understand the wide range of opportunities for investment in the Huddersfield area and hear about the support mechanisms available to assist in developing those opportunities. You will hear from Steve Mawson, Chief Executive of Kirklees Council and Sir John Harman, Chair of Huddersfield Unlimited as well as representatives from West Yorkshire Combined Authority, the University of Huddersfield, our hosts Huddersfield Town AFC and several local businesses actively investing in the town.
This will be the fourth Huddersfield Unlimited Conference and will continue to build on previous themes, setting out our ambitious plans for the town and showcasing the opportunities already being delivered or in the pipeline. These are contributing to well over £1bn investment of public money coming into Huddersfield. Our conference will open with registration and refreshments at 2pm with the first speakers at 2:30pm presenting the big picture of opportunity and support for the town and region. There will be an opportunity for networking during a mid-session break that will be followed by presentation of existing opportunities and examples of developments underway. The event will close at around 6pm with refreshments and a further opportunity to network until 7pm.
