Whitstable Rocks Oyster Festival presents Huey Morgan!
Saturday's festivities in Whitstable culminate at the East Quay Venue.
Join us all weekend (Saturday 13th to Sunday14th September) in Whitstable to celebrate Whitstable's historic and cultural connection with Oysters. Activities for adults and children alike will be available to participate in or watch predominately for free throughout the days, including, but not limited to, the mud tug, the blessing of the oysters, grotter building, chalky-chalk and crabbing.
Food stalls, festival bar and music can be enjoyed at The Grading Shed throughout the day for free and on Saturday the 13th, once night falls head over to the East Quay Venue to enjoy DJ, raconteur, author, producer, broadcaster and Fun Lovin’ Criminal, Huey Morgan! (This event is 18+ and tickets are required).
In addition to being the decade-long host of one of the only specialist music shows on BBC Radio 2, Huey is the Lower East Side voice of Saturdays on 6 Music with his critically acclaimed, award winning show featuring music, new and old, from all four corners of the globe. He’s the man who joins the dots between funk, soul, disco, classic hip hop and rock’n’roll.
