1978, Scotland, and Elizabeth Burnet is newly assigned to CID. Discovering evidence of a serial killer, the only person who believes her is a disgraced former-detective with his own agenda. Together, they discover that some in the force have reasons for sweeping recent deaths under the carpet. But someone is still out there, pursuing victims. As Burnet reveals the killer's identity, she exposes the mind of a monster pushed to the edge.
