Description

HUMAN CONNECTIONS

Human Connections is an opportunity to disconnect from the mundane, artificial world and re-connect to authentically human qualities.

A mismatch exists between where we have evolved from and what is innate to us with what we have created. The Human Connections experience bridges these missing gaps through movement, exposure and tribe.

We will welcome you into the space of body using diverse practises which aim to shorten the distance between yourself to yourself, yourself to other, yourself to whole so that you may leave feeling inspired to live to your full potential.

We will MOVE deeper into the body, re-learning fundamental human patterns that have a significant practical impact in expanding your options and freedom.

We will EXPOSE ourselves to nature, the elements and to measured challenge.

We will CONNECT to ourselves, one another and the land.

Spending time in naturally authentic environments is healing alone, add to this lots of nutritious movement, delicious food and sharing as a tribe. Human Connections intends to simply bring back a child like sense of openness and joy in moving, being and sharing. An invitation to nourish and expand as movers, thinkers and lovers of life.

We will explore the following practises and themes but not exclusive to;

  • Daily movement mobility articulations, play, meditation and cold water exposure
  • Finding Efficiency and Flow
  • Trance Dance under the stars
  • Sharing Circles
  • Moving with Nature
  • Task orientated movement challenge
  • Nutrition for movers talk

We want you to leave feeling inspired by the power of simplicity and with practical tools that help you in everyday life, enabling you to live in accordance to your body-mind-vision and your inner and outer rhythms.

Join us in this unique experience in connecting to our authentic nature, creativity, and playfulness towards all!

Accommodation, Delicious Healthy Food, All Sessions inc daily movement practise, excursions to forest and dunes, conscious practices.

PAUL

A movement coach inspired by evolution and nature, both our own and what we have called the natural world. He considers the period in which our existence as a species was most in sync with the natural world our biggest resource for helping us understand a lot of the modern cultural issues and stressors we face today.

Challenge, pleasure & freedom in movement are the main drivers with a continuous search for authenticity in movement and being at the core of his approach and methods.

Following hid degree in sport and exercise science in 2005 Paul has continued his education and been influenced by the likes of Frank Forencich, Lee Saxby, Ido Portal, Rafe Kelley, Tomislav English, and most recently Jozef Frucek & Linda Kapetanea of Fighting Monkey. He has been coaching movement for over 10 years and has worked with the transformative retreat company Wildfitness since 2011. He launched Human Connections in 2017 and also created the community initiate London Movement Connections in January 2018.

MARIA

Maria is a professional dancer graduated and qualified Shamanic Trance Dance facilitator.

As an artist Maria started to question various things: How does dance influences the self? Can it be healing? This quest evolved into a dissertation, 'SPIRITUALITY & DANCE' where she has looked into ancient and contemporary forms of spiritual dances such as Ritual Dances, the Whirling Dervishes and Osho Active Meditations.

Since LSC, Maria has worked with a variety of artists such as John Ross, Protein Dance, Jean Abreu, Russell Maliphant, Jack Murphy, Ivan Blackstock, Lucie Punkhurst, Company Idem and CieBurnout among others. Maria’s movement is influenced by different techniques such as Flying Low, Fighting Monkey and martial arts in particular capoeira.

Dance has not only become a practice but a way of living for her, the greatest medicine, teacher and medium for self-discovery, connection and balance.
