Event description

Description

This three day summer school is led by Dr Neetesh Saxena and is aimed at young researchers and professionals.

The purpose of this activity is to improve the understanding of human factor and its related safety and security in different systems. There will be case studies, research problem understanding, research results and takeaways presented from different domains, such as human factor roles, digital forensics, understanding attackers, user role in different networks, user-centric security, smart vehicles and applications of machine learning in security.

Who Can Attend?

Young students, researchers, industry practitioners, academicians and other security and human factor professionals can attend this three-day event. Participants will get an opportunity to interact with researchers and professionals working in the area of security and human factor.

This event is sponsored by the IEEE SMC Society, the aim is to share society’s information to a wider audience. There is a reduced registration fee for SMC members and we encourage participants to become members if they are not already, this will also save you money overall on the registration fees. If you are not an IEEE member, you can visit https://www.ieee.org to join (IEEE student membership cost: US$27; new student member 50% discount, and IEEE SMCS student membership cost: US$6).

The SMC Society conducts various activities and events. The event will highlight information about the three IEEE Transactions on SMC, IEEE SMC magazine and IEEE SMC conference.
