Human-Machine Collaboration Conference
Event Information
About this event
Recent advances in AI, machine learning and robotics means that machines of all varieties are embedded in our everyday lives. An increasing number of interactions in our work, social and family lives are now collaborations with machines.
This conference will showcase the results of ground-breaking research and innovation carried out at the University of Oxford in this field. It will present the most recent results from the Human-Machine Collaboration Programme, supported by Amazon Web Services (AWS).
These results include new tools to enable autonomous robots to plan their collaborations; machine learning for perception and action; cyber-physical systems which act and interact in natural ways; and new approaches for ensuring trustworthy AI.
The conference will feature presentations from the University’s academics leading this research, and provide access to the research and students who work on these problems every day. It will also feature the pioneering projects in testbeds that are channelling this technology into new applications in conjunction with AWS.
There will be breakout sessions, involving speakers from industrial partners and government organisations, as well as poster presentations of graduate students and a mini-exhibition of the testbed projects to provide insight about the collaborative project portfolio.
The conference will close with a drink reception and dinner in a prestigious Oxford college.
