Indigenous Peoples' Rights in the Case-Law of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights
Speaker: Dr. Oswaldo Ruiz-Chiriboga, PhD Reasearch Fellow, Ghent University
Oswaldo Ruiz-Chiriboga worked as a Senior Staff Attorney at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (2005 – 2010), Senior Staff Attorney at the NGO Center for Justice and International Law (2003 – 2005), and Coordinator of the Human Rights Clinic of the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador (2001 – 2002). As to his education, he holds an LLB from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador (2002), a Higher Diploma in Human Rights from the same University (2003), a Higher Diploma in Human Rights from the Andean University (2003); a Specialist Diploma in Legal Argumentation (2008) from Alicante University, an LLM in International Criminal Law from Granada University (2011), an LLM in Human Rights and Criminal Justice from Utrecht University (2011), and a PhD from Ghent University (2016).
