Event description

Description

In April 2016, Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was detained at an Iranian airport, while travelling home to London with her young daughter. The British-Iranian charity worker was later sentenced to five years in prison - for allegedly plotting against the Iranian government. She maintains her innocence, saying she was on holiday in Iran visiting family.

In the light of this, Amnesty International UK’s Country Coordinator for Iran, Oscar Jenz, will be giving a talk about the human rights situation in Iran on Wednesday 13th November at 7.30pm in Hammersmith.

The venue is the Hammersmith Quaker Meeting House, 20 Nigel Playfair Avenue, W6 9JY. It is wheelchair accessible.

The event is free and open to anyone, not just Amnesty members. You can book a place in advance or just turn up on the night (you will be guaranteed entry even if Eventbrite says the sale has ended).

If you have any queries, please let me know. I look forward to seeing you there.

Best wishes
