About this event
The Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission is delighted to invite you to a presentation and discussion on its research paper on Human Trafficking and Article 2 of the Ireland/Northern Ireland Protocol.
This is a hybrid event with limited in person capacity.
Venue: Clayton Hotel, Belfast and Online
The research is authored by Alison Harvey, No.5 Chambers and will be published on 26th May. The launch will be opened by our Chief Commissioner, Alyson Kilpatrick. Alison Harvey will present the research, with Professor Colin Harvey chairing the event.
Commissioned by NIHRC as part of its research programme exploring the scope of Protocol Article 2, the paper will provide participants with an opportunity to consider the ‘no diminution’ commitment in a particular context, before discussing potential next steps to protect the rights of trafficked persons in the context of the Nationality and Borders Act.
If you are attending in person, please let us know when booking.
A light lunch will follow and if you have any dietary requirements, please specify when booking.
