My daughter came home RAVING about how brilliant the workshop was! She thoroughly loved it, and didn’t stop talking about it all day. Thank you for ensuring ALL children feel involved and engaged in science and technology. Well done and thank you from a very grateful mum! - Melanie, Brighton

Workshop Theme: Hungry Alligator! Lego Wedo Robotics Workshop

Description: Create a Hungry Alligator robot then use a computer to bring it to life!

We'll be building and learning to program a ‘Hungry Alligator’ robot using Lego Education WeDo kits. Children will work in pairs to assemble the robot then use the visual drag-and-drop software to instruct the robots to move and make sounds! We'll also learn about the mechanics of motors, sensors, axles and gears in this exciting workshop.

No previous experience required.

Please note, students are unable to take the robotics kits home; parents are invited to view the robots in action and take photos/videos before the end.

Recommended Ages: 6-9. Please contact us if you are unsure of suitability.

Venue/Transport: The 37B bus stops outside the venue, or there are nearby bus stops at Queens Park/The Pepperpot (5-10min walk downhill to Hanover Centre) or the Level (5min walk uphill to Hanover Centre). Please note the small car park at the Hanover Centre is for drop-off and pick-up only - you cannot park there during the workshop. There is pay-and-display on-street parking around Hanover or near the Level.
