Event description

Description

Part of the North York Moors National Park’s Guided Walks Programme.

Jim Hall takes you on a 4½-mile walk between two attractive North York Moors villages. Hutton le Hole is home of the game of ‘merrills’, whilst Lastingham boasts a beautiful church founded by St Cedd.

The walk crosses grassy fields, mixed woodland and heather-covered moorland and also includes a steep section. Steep ascents and descents (pavements, roads and steps). Varied and uneven surfaces and stiles.

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

Packed lunch required. Sorry, no dogs. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

Our guided walks are free, although a suggested donation of £2 is welcome, helping us to care for the National Park.

Booking essential. For more information call 01439 772738.
