About Huxley:
"I have always painted, sketched, and drawn. For years, many holidays were spent sketching across South Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, and America—moments of stillness and observation in between the demands of a business life spent as CEO and Managing Director in the UK and USA.
Born and educated in Manchester, I began my career in business there, but there was always a painting room—always a canvas in progress. I copied the artists I admired: Monet, Degas, Peploe, Chagall, Kandinsky, Mondrian. I worked in oil, pastel, pencil—whatever felt right.
During the pandemic, in a now-or-never moment, I decided to commit to painting full-time. It was a leap, but one that felt inevitable"
