About this event
The World of Work Project has teamed up with The Progress Lab for this timely seminar on hybrid working and managing hybrid teams.
About This Session
Post-pandemic, hybrid or blended working models in which employees combine working from home and the office regularly is set to become the next normal. Hybrid working at scale requires a great deal of planning and preparation, and whilst it is tempting to prioritise the ‘what’ in terms of mapping out future working arrangements, policies and procedures; it is equally important to consider and prepare for the ‘how’. In this online seminar, we talk through some of the implications of hybrid working on team dynamics and discuss how managers can best manage their hybrid teams by creating equitable work experiences that maximise everyone’s potential, regardless of where they locate themselves.
We will emphasise how managing hybrid teams requires on-going reflection and deliberate thinking, and will introduce you to some useful psychological concepts, many of which are rooted in the theory of motivation at work. Finally, we reflect on the responsibilities of managers in creating inclusive hybrid environments and provide some practical advice and guidance.
