Hybrid Working, the new Industrial Revolution

The way we live and work has been changed forever. The world, thrust into a global crisis last March and the fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic meant organizations had to quickly adapt and adopt new technologies and initiatives for their employees. The most significant change was the move from office to home working.

A year on and and as the risk of infection falls, organisations are planning for their post-COVID future. A recent study by Boston Consulting Group (BCG) of 2,000 UK employees revealed that 67% of those working remotely since COVID-19 want to be able to split their time between the physical workplace and home working in the future and we have no doubt that the future has to be hybrid.

However hybrid working (HW) brings into play a whole host of considerations for organisations and in this session, we will be exploring how leaders can balance employee needs and aspirations around how they want to work in the future with broader business objectives.

Real Time Challenges & Benefits

Opening the session, Daniele Fiandaca, Co-Founder of Utopia will lay the foundations for a rich panel discussion by first sharing key results from a survey designed by Culture Social & Utopia. The survey, shared with HR directors asks fundamental questions around the benefits and challenges of the HW model touching on areas such as; psychological safety & trust, fairness, health and safety (physical and mental), collaboration and culture amongst others.

Networked Discussion

We will then break into groups so that you can meet fellow Socials and explore areas that may specifically affect your organisation whilst being able to share common issues and solutions around the topic.

Hybrid Work is the Future - How can we make it Work?

We will end the session with a panel hosted by Nadya Powell, Co-founder of Utopia which will deep dive into some of the issues highlighted in the survey results. The panel will share practical advice and insight around HW. What works well? Where have the successes been? What doesn't work? What are the key watch outs? How should people best prep for success? And what are people missing to ensure that we use this transformational opportunity to make real change?

Joining Nadya we will have three leading voices at the forefront of the HW space who will provide varying perspectives on the future of work which include:
