This August, join Hydra Editions and KSENOI PROJECTS for a creative evening of art, expression, and community on the island of Hydra.
KSENOI PROJECTS, founded by London-based Greek artist Anna Makri, is a platform dedicated to empowering emerging artists who feel like a xeno. While “xenos” today often suggests foreignness, in ancient Greece it meant guest or even friend—a spirit of hospitality and generosity that KSENOI proudly reclaims. Through exhibitions and workshops, KSENOI creates a safe space for dialogue, connection, and the exploration of identity, heritage, and migration.
In this special Hydra workshop, we’ll be:
Creating knots and using nautical objects to leave your own imprints on shirts ,a keepsake of your summer.
Sharing in the beauty of collective making guided by Anna Makri’s unique artistic practice, rooted in painting as a visual diary of identity and connection.
