Join us on 1st July for our Hydrogen Webinar - "Hydrogen: Getting the green light, Driving Europe’s green recovery"
About this event
Becoming the world’s first climate-neutral continent by 2050 is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the EU's economy and society. For the EU and UK to reach their target of climate neutrality, economies must decarbonise their energy systems to achieve "net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050”.
GenComm's European partners & Guest Speakers will consider hydrogen in this context, and as the catalyst for driving Europe's green recovery. They will also consider the hurdles that must be overcome for Hydrogen to become a viable and accessible energy source for all.

Bio - Dr Iain Percy OBE
Dr Iain Percy OBE, CEO of Artemis Technologies, is a three time Olympic medalist and double Olympic champion, and a veteran of four America’s Cup challenges.
Passionate about protecting the oceans, and after retiring from Olympic competition and joining Artemis Racing as a Tactician and Team Manager, the economics graduate founded Artemis Technologies in 2017, with a mission to see how America’s Cup technology could play a part in the decarbonisation of the maritime industry.
He has overseen the company's transition from a sailing services provider, to an applied technologies company focusing on green innovations for marine transportation.
The presentations will detail:
1. How the GenComm pilot is at the forefront of innovation and clean growth
2. The hurdles that must be overcome for Hydrogen to become a viable, clean and accessible energy source for all.
3. How Data-informed tools can empower green Hydrogen project development, critical for sustained economic recovery
4. How the GenComm Wind to Hydrogen pilot will help evidence the mobility capacity of hydrogen
5. Green stimulus, how Hydrogen is a viable clean energy source
6. Importance of developing a cohesive economic, energy and climate action plans
7. Developing the potential for hydrogen as an energy vector for transport, industry and heating
