How many times have you said it? “I can’t draw.” Not a straight line. Not a stick figure. Not anything that looks like it’s ‘meant’ to.
At Arty Farty, we believe that’s simply not true. I Can’t Draw is a welcoming, no-pressure workshop designed to gently show you that drawing is a skill—one you can absolutely learn.
Over the course of these relaxed Sunday morning sessions, you’ll discover how to see like an artist and build confidence through fun, accessible techniques. You’ll learn how to break down complex images into simple shapes, explore line, shading, proportion, and gesture—and most importantly, how to enjoy the process without fear or judgement.
We’ll guide you through a variety of approaches—from observational sketching to expressive mark-making—and help you find your own way of drawing. You’ll also gain an introduction to various art styles, from realistic, representative and abstract and the quiet magic of really looking.
This isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up with curiosity, surprising yourself, and discovering that you can draw—you just haven't been shown how. Yet.
Come as you are. Leave with new skills, confidence, and a sketchbook full of possibilities.
