Michelle Williams, Labour candidate for Leigh Ward for the May 2018 local elections, welcomes everyone to this unique screening of Ken Loach’s ‘I, Daniel Blake’. This important and award- winning film, follows the story of a hard-working man who finds himself suddenly part of a system which fails him when he needs it most. With over 600 community screenings, and winning Outstanding British Film- BAFTA 2017, this one off screening is not to be missed.

The evening will include:

· An open bar- alcoholic and non- alcoholic drinks can be purchased throughout the screening

· Meet local film club ‘Cinelandia’, who will be selling confectionary and promoting their next film events

Donations can be made on the night to Food Bank services. Please bring what you can.

Due to the nature of the film, this event is not suitable for children.
