Event description

Description

Welcome to Greg’s bedroom in Mesquite, Texas, 1998. The Savage Garden CD is on repeat, there’s a pile of dirty laundry in the corner and he can’t stop thinking about Sara. In this solo performance Greg tells you - from the perspective of a geeky teenager - the true story of the night he took a chance.

I like the way you wear your hair is a conversation with a past version of yourself. It’s about stomach butterflies, private thoughts and marching band conveyed with simple storytelling and a pico projector, throwing hand-drawn memories and DIY atmosphere onto the walls, floor and ceiling.

"Evocative autobiography and indie flick tales from Texas."
-David Micklem, Artistic Director BAC

PLEASE NOTE: The Yard cafe/bar will not be open, so feel free to have a drink at The Hackney Pearl around the corner before or after.

Greg Wohead is a London-based writer and performer originally from Texas. He has presented work at Battersea Arts Centre, The Basement, Stoke Newington International Airport, Camden People's Theatre and The Yard, where he is currently an Artistic Associate.
