You’ve said it to yourself more than once: “I want to paint.” Maybe you don’t know where to begin—or which brush, surface, or paint to choose. Maybe you’ve tried before but felt unsure or overwhelmed. This workshop is your place to start.
I Want to Paint is a relaxed, supportive introduction to the world of painting for absolute beginners. Over a series of practical, inspiring sessions, you’ll explore a range of materials—from watercolour and acrylics to oils and gouache—while learning how each behaves and what makes them unique.
Led by our experienced Arty Farty SmARTy, you'll be gently guided through simple exercises and expressive mark-making techniques, while also building a foundation in the principles of colour, brushwork, and composition. There’s no pressure to get it ‘right’—this is about learning by doing, playing with materials, and discovering what excites you.
Whether your goal is to loosen up creatively, understand how to use paints properly, or simply enjoy two hours of hands-on calm each week, this workshop will help you unlock your creativity with confidence, joy, and curiosity.
You can paint. And this is where you begin.
